Law Graduates

As a Lavan Graduate, you will gain practical and diverse experience through two rotations, working closely with a range of leading partners and lawyers. You will be supported and guided by your supervisor and be allocated a buddy for a smooth transition into firm life.

As a part of the Graduate Program, you will complete your Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice and Practical Legal Training (PLT) developed in partnership with College of Law. This program will help build, reinforce, and develop your skills for admission as a legal practitioner.

We’re proud to offer weekly Rostrum Club meetings which is a club set up at Lavan to develop communication and public speaking skills. This unique initiative enables people at Lavan and specifically our graduates, the opportunity to fine tune their communication, confidence, and presentation skills.

Application Process and Key Dates

Applications for our 2026 Law Graduate Program will open from Friday, 16 May and will close by 5pm on Friday, 6 June 2024.

To apply, please submit your application to our People and Culture Team (peopleandculture@lavan.com.au) including your academic transcript, CV and cover letter.

Our clerkship program gives you a holistic experience of life at Lavan.  This opportunity requires a commitment of two days per week over a three-month period in one practice area, and is a fantastic way for you to apply and gain practical experience to supplement your study in one of Perth’s leading law firms.
