Mihali Palassis is a special counsel in Lavan’s Restructuring & Insolvency team.
Mihali has significant experience acting as counsel and instructor on various high profile and complex disputes in all major Western Australian courts, the Federal Court of Australia and the High Court of Australia. He is also experienced in resolving mining tenement disputes before the Warden and the Warden’s Court.
Mihali is a commercial litigator with a primary focus on the resources sector, in particular issues affecting mining tenure under the Mining Act 1978 (WA). He has also acted for public, listed entities in relation to various corporate matters, including claims pertaining to directors’ duties, oppression and misleading or deceptive conduct.
Mihali sits on the Energy and Resources Law Association (formerly AMPLA) State Committee, where he is also the Learning & Development Coordinator.
